Sveta Paster Shainkopf is a PhD candidate in Computer Science at Tufts University, specializing in artificial intelligence, robotics, and human–robot interaction. Her research explores how intelligent systems can better understand human goals and behavior to support more effective human–AI and human–robot collaboration.
She brings more than a decade of industry experience in algorithm development, machine learning, and computer vision, alongside her academic research. She is also a member of AAAI’s Student Committee, contributing to the broader AI research community.
As Boston Chapter Lead for AI-Powered Women, Sveta is building a community where women across technology, research, business, and other disciplines can connect, exchange perspectives, and take an active role in shaping how AI is developed, adopted, and integrated into our lives.
